CHIEF MINISTERS OF INDIA : India is the seventh largest country in the world. And also a second populous country. It lies in the Southern part of Asian Continent. It was officially known as the Republic of India. It is governed by a parliamentary form of government. In India, a chief minister is the head of the government of each of the 28 states. ABOUT CHIEF MINISTERS :   Chief minister of state of India is elected by the head of the government and the executive authority lies with the chief minister. As per the Constitution, a Governor is the head of the state, however, Chief minister is the ' de facto' head of that particular state. There are 28 states in India and 09 union territories. Of these 09 union territories, 02 have their own state legislative assemblies ( Delhi and Puducherry). Therefore, there are 30 chief minister in India.   INDIA  POLITICAL MAP OF INDIA CAPITAL OF INDIA :- NEW DELHI India bifurcated the state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union Territories. On August 05, 2019 the union Home Minister evoked the special status given towards Jammu and Kashmir. To depict the newly formed union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh the survey of India has redrawn the political map. The new map of India has 28 states and 09 union Territories.
